Dr. Samir Ahmed has been with CIVE at OSU since 1981, where he is currently a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Coordinator of the Transportation Engineering Program.  Prior to joining OSU, he held teaching and research positions at the University of Hawaii, the University of Oklahoma, McGill University, and Transport Canada R&D.

• Ph.D. Civil Engineering - University of Oklahoma

Dr. Ahmed has been involved in several research projects sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Transporation, the Federal Highway Administration, and the transportation industry.  He has authored and co-authored more than fifty technical publications, books and reports.   He teaches courses in transportation engineering  and system engineering.
