Bruce Russell came to OSU in January of 2002 as an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Prior to joining the OSU faculty, he was on the faculty at the University of Oklahoma where he earned tenure and rank.  Russell was employed by Dresser Engineering Co. in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1981 to 1988 where he served in a variety of professional positions.  During that time, Russell was Chief Field Engineer or Project Manager for constructed projects with value totaling more than $50 mm.

Dr. Currently, Russell teaches and conducts research emphasizing structural concrete and concrete materials.  In 16 years of academic service, Russell has procured and executed more than $3 million in externally funded research with nearly $2 million coming during his six years at OSU.
