Dee Ann Sanders is an Associate Professor in the Environmental Group of CIVE at Oklahoma State University. She is the faculty advisor for the OSU chapter of Chi Epsilon, the Civil Engineering honor society, and is a member of several professional, honor, and community service organizations.

She is past division chair of the Environmental Engineering Division of the American Society for Engineering Education, where she has served as program chair and secretary-treasurer. Dr. Sanders also serves on the Publications Committee of the Water Environment Federation; she writes the annual review of water-related environmental legislation for the environmental engineering community. She is a registered professional engineer in Texas.

Dr. Sanders’ teaching and research interests lie in the application of environmental engineering principles to the practical problems of society. She performs research into design of environmental systems for optimal operation; survival of environmental infrastructure during extreme events; and the design of systems for waste minimization and pollution prevention. She maintains a focus area in environmental law and air pollution control.
