Donations to the School of Civil & Environmental Engineering

Dear Supporter:

You can help the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering by giving to several funds used to support students and upgrade laboratories. Your gift to a designated fund will assure that every dollar of your contribution goes directly to the purpose that you have directed it to.  Or you may wish to give an unrestricted gift for the overall support of Civil and Environmental Engineering programs and projects.

The funds that we are seeking support for are Project Excellence, Student Professional Development Fund, Concrete Canoe Team, Gary Oberlender Construction Engineering and Management Fellowship and unrestricted CIVE.

Project Excellence funds have been used recently to upgrade and purchase new equipment in the Asphalt, Hydraulics and Soils Labs.  New funds from Project Excellence will be used to:

  • Build and move the Structures Lab to a new building at the corner of McElroy and Willis,
  • Move the Environmental Labs from the Annex (originally the coal bin) to the ATRC, and
  • Fund new equipment in the other labs which will remain in the Annex.

Student Professional Development Fund is a new fund to facilitate career development, enhance the educational experience, and expand the horizons of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering students.  These funds will be used to support student travel to conferences and training opportunities and purchasing unique technology for lab and classroom use.

Concrete Canoe Team is an ongoing project of the student chapter of ASCE.  Each year the School and ASCE sponsor a team to compete in the regional and national concrete canoe competition.  In 2006, OSU sponsored the National Concrete Canoe Competition at Boomer Lake.  The students provide the brainpower and muscle but this is only possible through the contributions of the sponsors of our team.

Recipients of the Gary Oberlender Construction Engineering and Management Fellowship will be selected by a committee appointed for such purpose by the Head of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, or his/her designee. The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student studing Construction Engineering and Management in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Oklahoma State Unversity. This award shall be based equally on academic achievement and financial need. The scholarship will be funded on an annual non-endowed basis for as long as the Donors so desirte.

When you click the link below you will go to the OSU Foundation Website to make a donation.  Please provide the requested information and the amount of your donation. In the middle of the form is a section titled "Gift Information". In the "Fund" field, please select "Other" from the drop-down list and then type CIVE and the number for the fund you wish your donation to be credited to in the "Other Comments" field.
