Outstanding Doctoral Student of the year - Amir Behravan

After the Dept of Campus Life was created in 1997 under the leadership of Mr. Kent Sampson, he felt it import to acknowledge outstanding leadership and service. Mr. Sampson made contact with the President’s Office at that time to suggest this recognition be co-sponsored by the President’s Office also, carrying the name – President’s Leadership Recognition Ceremony. The intent was to create a set of awards that had broader appeal and carried the name of the President – thus making it one of the most prestigious of campus awards.
